DI-SJO-I-N-TED. Light. Dark. Twisting smiles. Joyful frowns. Tiny Rain. The edge of sunshine. Colliding creations.

Everything Merging into the moment of perfect clarity that is a cat's smile.

Tracy carefully opened her eyes, testing that her body would actually remain intact if she did so. After satisfying herself that her body was not going to change into anything without her explicit permission, she focused on her immediate surroundings. The most noticeable object in her line of vision was an enormously blurred, black fuzz ball with white whiskers and a ridiculous grin resembling a crescent moon turned on its back. Kitty... Sitting up slowly, Tracy absent-mindedly ran her hand along the cat's back as he lifted his butt in the air trying to exude every last bit of pleasure from this off handed motion. Her apartment looked as it had before she entered the Game, which was not surprising considering that in actuality only a few moments had passed. Rising to stand, she noticed a distinct tug emanating from her hand that was caressing her pet. Groggily, she looked down. Shocked by what she saw, Tracy nearly jumped backward in fright. The only thing that prevented her from doing so, and most likely injuring both herself and her kitty, was a sensation of utter calm and carelessness that had been ebbing its way towards the front of her mind ever since she opened her eyes. Her hand was no longer recognizable as a hand, but rather an extension of the tail end of her cat. When she tried to wiggle her fingers, she felt the muscles relax in the cat's back - not in the way that one feels a cat's muscle relax from the outside, but in the way that a cat feels from the inside. Tracy thought about screaming, but instantly dismissed that idea as pointless, not to mention silly. Part of her mind was trying desperately to convince the other part of her mind that everything was perfectly normal; that merging INTO your cat was an everyday occurrence and that, given the behaviour of quantum particles, one shouldn't be surprised. Needless to say, this was also the same part of her mind that was utterly carefree and relaxed. The sensation was spreading up her arm, bringing with it thoughts and memories of sleeping on the edge of sunbeams, running through tiny raindrops, and chasing a delicious meal of mouse. When the sensation reached her chest, Tracy realized with wonder that she was actually a part of Mr. Kiddie - or that he was a part of her. The distinction didn't seam to matter. Focusing all her willpower on the image of herself before being a cat, Tracy was relieved to feel the sensation of her arm and her hand return to her. When at last she pulled her hand free, she felt an emptiness. Where she had previously understood her cat, as an integral part of her self, was now a void waiting to be filled.
